Instagram says record

instagramInstagram says press Record

So those selfies and food photos that are in your instagram feed will actually have some movement to it? You ask why? Well Facebook-owned service has just leaked news that this popular app will now include a video component. As you know I talked about the Vine app last week and how that went viral. Well now the competition is on. Soon the video component to Instagram will be available for iPhones and Android phones. The founder Kevin Systrom, told Nightline, “there are ton of moments in the world that can’t be captured in single images”. Instragram will not be out beat.

Instagram features changing

An update to the Instagram app was released today June 19 2013. This will allow users to capture video content anywhere from 3 to 15 seconds, apply a new set of filters and share them with Instagram which is also linked to other social media services. IG users will now be able to hit the camera button and choose from a still camera or video camera option.  Also you will be able to pause, re-adjust, and capture your shot over and over again on your new and improved instagram app.

Will the Vine app be affected by the new Instagram feature?

“Systrom, said “the company has actually been working on the video feature for more than two years. Before Instagram was created, Systrom and Krieger were working on an app called Burbn that let you share your location and videos and photos of where you were.”
So have you already made that switch to Vine? Have you jumped the bandwagon? Is this too much for social media? I mean it is already enough social medias to keep up with. Instagram is making moves, but will you follow?
